As a proud graduate of Ryerson’s School of Fashion, I am a Creative Director with over 20 years of experience in both editorial and retail environments. In 1996, I pioneered flare.com, the first online fashion and beauty website in Canada and in 2011, I launched the first Canadian fashion publication iPad app for FLARE, directing the brand's digital issues monthly. In 2012, I was awarded an inaugural award for Art Director of the Year by Proctor and Gamble. I maintained my position as FLARE's Art Director for 17 consecutive years before joining St. Joseph Content as a digital Creative Director. I thrive on creative problem solving, helping editors and clients develop targeted creative content, and nurturing young talent. I teach Art Direction for Photography and Topics in Fashion Photography. I am a frequent guest speaker for a variety of events, most recently at Toronto’s literature festival: Word on The Street 2016 regarding the current state of Canadian-designed fashion. I am a regular consultant for the National Magazine Awards, judging fashion, art direction and magazine of the year categories. I have served on the board of the Advertising and Design Club of Canada, most recently in 2016 choosing the prestigious Les Usherwood award winner for excellence of craft in Canadian advertising.
