Congratulations to all the award recipients who were celebrated on November 13, 2017 at the Ryerson School of Fashion Awards Night for their outstanding achievements within the school.
Each year, award recipients from both the Undergraduate and Graduate Ryerson Fashion programs are honoured for their academic achievements, creative potential, volunteer work and leadership skills. It is an opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate and encourage students in both their educational and professional aspirations. This year, a total of thirty-eight Ryerson Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships and ninety-nine School of Fashion awards were given out.
The awards night was generously hosted by Holt Renfrew. The high-end Canadian fashion retailer has been hosting the award presentation for over fifteen years and is also an award sponsor.
One outstanding award winner recognized at the event was Anna Yaworski, a fourth year student in the fashion design program. Anna took home three awards including the Alice Mitchell Whitley Award in Apparel Design and Production, the Helen and Sulo Hutko Award and the Sandra Haynes Memorial Award. Anna was also one of the winners of this year’s Danier Design Challenge this past spring, one of the many competition opportunities providing exposure to students in Ryerson Fashion program.
Congratulations to all the Ryerson Fashion award recipients and thank you to the award donors for their continued support, particularly Holt Renfrew for hosting the event.
