Internships give you the opportunity to gain a real world understanding of the fashion industry and work with prominent national and international companies in the fashion and related fields. During your internship you will cultivate professional relationships that will be a resource for you as you seek employment after graduation. You will apply what you have learned in the classroom and gain tangible skills that will benefit you throughout your time at Ryerson and in your professional career. At Ryerson Fashion you will have access and connections to a wide variety of organizations in the fashion industry including major company head offices and smaller boutiques and businesses across the Toronto Area. In larger companies you will have room to explore different positions and have a reputable name to put on your resume, such as Holt Renfrew or Abercrombie & Fitch. Many students also enjoy working for smaller businesses in the Toronto Area as they allow you to take on advanced tasks and manage projects that are not common to most entry level positions.

Getting your Internship

We post job and internship opportunities daily through your Ryerson email that are open for all fashion students to apply to. You may also find your own internship through networking or personal connections.

Things to Keep in Mind

All internships must be approved by The School of Fashion and you cannot submit hours from before your time at Ryerson. Please visit [Current Students] to see a complete breakdown of the internship program.
